Built in Nigeria, for the realities around us

Tools and stories for a more capable Nigeria.

Nai's Media builds practical software for everyday businesses, as well as the stories, communities and public experiences that promote better ways of working.

Progress moves faster when the better behaviour is also the easier behaviour.

Too many Nigerian businesses still carry critical operations in memory, paper and WhatsApp. Generic software often ignores the local context; complicated software simply goes unused.

We design around the habits people already have, then use software, media and community to make more transparent, efficient ways of working feel natural.

Operating systems for the businesses people live with every day.

FitDesk and BukaOS are live operating foundations. AutoMed is the next research frontier: a working diagnostic-evidence spine being prepared for a bounded Abuja workshop pilot.

FitDesk

A gym operating system that connects membership, QR access, payments, staff permissions and accountable records in one mobile-first workflow.

  • 01Membership and renewal operations
  • 02QR-based access verification
  • 03Role controls and an audit trail
  • 04Private member companion through Coach
02 / Food business infrastructure Live product
BukaOS

A working mobile operating system for bukas and small food vendors: kitchen availability, customer ordering, sales, stock and the real cost of every plate.

  • 01Kitchen availability, orders, sales and stock flow
  • 02Customer ordering through a public web menu
  • 03Pantry, recipe and portion-costing foundation
  • 04Live end-to-end workflow with a test restaurant

Next: deepen the pantry and costing research, add a stronger security foundation, and automate payments. Build “Customer”, the standalone companion for ordering and saving a catalogue of food vendors. Ordering already works in BukaOS currently.

03 / Diagnostic research infrastructureResearch programme

AutoMed

A workshop-first diagnostic learning system for ageing vehicles under Nigerian operating conditions. It records the full journey from a customer’s symptoms to a mechanic-verified outcome—so costly trial-and-error stops disappearing into memory.

  • 01Customer vehicle and symptom intake
  • 02Protected workshop case queue
  • 03Chronological observations, hypotheses, tests and costs
  • 04Confirmed, partial and unresolved outcome records

The origin is a real diagnostic failure: two replacement engines before a faulty sensor feeding incorrect information to the ECU was identified. The present build establishes the evidence spine. A bounded workshop pilot is the next step once scope, safeguards and partner readiness are confirmed; later AI can rank the next useful test and show its reasoning.

The next layer

Turn operational records into the next useful decision.

AI should not be a decorative chatbot. It should understand the work, respect the permissions around the data, and help a person act with more confidence.
